Creating a visual identity and a custom website for a community-focused organization
Volly is a local non-profit organization that focuses on strengthening the community through city-wide volunteering and civic education programs. To support the organization’s expansion around the city, I was hired to create a brand identity with a focus on custom illustrations to visually communicate its values, and a website to amplify its voice.

The Brand
Volly is a community-focused brand that needed its visual language to communicate its fun and bubbly personality. Considering the target demographic of young adults, a key focus of building the brand identity was through custom characters and illustrations.

The Website
Volly’s Original Website
The original website was built as a volunteer portal. With the organization expanding, this lacked a few key features:
About Volly: A space to highlight its journey and accomplishments over the years of the organization’s expansion.
Cohesive Branding: A look and feel that visually communicates Volly’s identity.
Education Hub: A dedicated space to provide educational information on civic, financial literacy and healthcare.
Built by a student volunteer, the original website is kept as Volly’s volunteer portal to honor their hard work. We built a separate main website with the key features listed above.
